This Thanksgiving, Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners (PWKP) ‒ the team delivering the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) Rapid Bridge Replacement Project ‒ is giving thanks to some of the local project communities and helping those most in need.
PWKP is donating 158 turkeys ‒ one for each completed bridge so far ‒ and will provide supplemental cash donations to a total of 18 local food banks and community associations that have been selected based on the number of completed bridges in their given area.
PWKP employees began hand-delivering the turkeys and the cash donations on November 17 and we expect that all donations will be received by November 22, 2016, well in time for Thanksgiving celebrations.
“All members of the PWKP team believe we have a responsibility to meaningfully give back to the communities in which we operate. Food banks and charitable organizations are consistently under pressure, particularly at this time of year, and we are honored to support their efforts this holiday season,” said Matt Girard, Project Executive for PWKP.
“We hope our 2016 turkey initiative will allow some families to celebrate Thanksgiving in ways that otherwise may not have been possible. From everyone who works on the Pennsylvania Rapid Bridge Replacement Project, we wish you and your families a Happy Thanksgiving,” said Ed Dice, PWKP Project Delivery Manager.
