Plenary Americas has instituted an internal six-member DEI Committee, chaired by the CEO, along with four Sub-Committees on which there is broad participation from across the company. The goal of the DEI Committee and Sub-Committees is to continuously explore best practices to advance, refine and optimize Plenary’s diversity, equity and inclusivity approach.

Our responsibility to the communities in which we work goes beyond the design, construction and operations of infrastructure. It also drives us to seek local opportunities to deliver meaningful, positive impact through:

• Maximizing the participation of local, small and disadvantaged business enterprises on projects.
• Implementing workforce development and local hiring programs to source local and disadvantaged talent.
• Developing Mentor/Protégé programs that seek to build the capacity of smaller firms.
• Engaging community stakeholders with tailored community benefits.

During the redevelopment of Amtrak’s William H. Gray III 30th Street Station Redevelopment Project in Philadelphia, Plenary’s team partners with local community leaders to maximize local economic inclusion. An advisory council, Hire30thStreet Advisory Collaborative, is made up of more than 30 local community-based organizations that support supplier diversity, local hiring, and job training programs for city residents.
