Construction on two of Plenary’s major projects in Canada reached substantial completion in October.

Substantial completion of the C$491 million Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness in Ontario was announced by Infrastructure Ontario and William Osler Health System, and the facility is expected to be fully-operational by April 2017.

The C$200 million Okanagan Correction Centre (OCC), British Columbia’s largest correctional facility, also reached substantial completion, expanding capacity and enhancing safety for communities, correctional staff and inmates throughout the province. The facility, which will house both male and female inmates, will begin to transition into a fully operational centre in early-2017.

Plenary Group President and Chief Executive Officer, Brian Budden, congratulated the hard working teams on both projects for their successful completions.

“After many years of hard work from conception, design and right through the construction period, we’re proud to see two large scale projects successfully reach completion in the same month,” Mr Budden said.

“OCC and Peel Memorial are two exemplary projects providing much-needed improvements to both the Oliver and Brampton communities,” Mr Budden said. “I would like to thank and congratulate all that were involved.”

Plenary has had a successful 2016 in North America, completing construction on three projects and reaching financial close on a further six projects across Canada and the U.S.
