The Honourable Dwight Ball, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, announced today that Plenary’s Corner Brook Health Partnership has been selected to design, build, finance and maintain a new acute care hospital in Corner Brook with an estimated contract value of $750 million.

The new seven-storey, 600,000 square foot hospital will be connected to the 145-bed long-term care home that Plenary Health is currently building on the site. It will have 164 beds with the same services currently provided at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, as well as an expanded cancer care program including radiation services.
“We are thrilled to once again be partnering with Western Health and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador to bring new and expanded health care services to the region,” said Angela Clayton, Plenary’s Group Head – Buildings Division.
In the coming months, the team will work toward reaching financial and commercial close. Construction is expected to begin later this summer and is anticipated to be complete by 2023.
