Plenary Health celebrated the opening of the Interior Heart and Surgical Centre at the Kelowna General Hospital in British Columbia.
This is the newest addition to the Hospital and was completed on-time and on-budget.
“The addition of the Interior Heart and Surgical Centre at Kelowna General Hospital makes the hospital one of the leaders in the region”, said Mike Marasco, CEO of Plenary Health.
“We are thrilled to be a part of such an important health project and look forward to the continued relationship and development over the next three decades.”
Construction on the project ended in April and a comprehensive commissioning process was in place to have the facility ready for the opening at the end of September.
The past 5 months has seen more than 700 employees trained, and equipment installed in preparation for the opening.

The new Interior Heart and Surgical Centre has provided clinical space for up to 600 open heart procedures per year, 15 state of the art operating rooms and 45 pre-operative patient rooms.
The adaptable and flexible design of the building will assist in the development and growth of the centre for years to come.
