President and Chief Executive Officer
Brian Budden is President and Chief Executive Officer of Plenary Americas.
Brian started his Plenary career leading, structuring and closing publicly-procured Public-Private Partnership (P3) infrastructure bids before taking over leadership of the North American Project Structuring & Investment and Commercial teams in 2014, then as President & CEO in 2016. Brian sits on the Boards of Directors for Plenary Americas and for all of Plenary’s North American projects, and on the Steering Committee for Plenary Europe.
Under Brian’s leadership, Plenary Americas has earned the distinction of being named one of Waterstone Human Capital’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures. The company is also endorsed as a Best Workplace for Inclusion and Mental Wellness and has been continuously designated as a Great Place to Work in both the US and Canada. Before joining Plenary, Brian practiced corporate restructuring at a Bay Street law firm, exited law by returning to receive his MBA from Dartmouth College (Tuck), and, subsequently, led acquisitions, divestitures and strategic initiatives at a subsidiary of Magna International. Brian is a member of YPO and has been active in mentoring and service on charitable boards.
