Plenary Justice has achieved substantial completion on the Thunder Bay Consolidated Courthouse.
This marks an important milestone in the 30+ year concession to design, build, finance and maintain the new facility.
The new, state-of-the-art facility houses the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice, along with the Province of Ontario’s first Aboriginal Conference Settlement Suite. It will accommodate an estimated 250 personnel and includes 15 courtrooms and four conference/settlement rooms.
The Ministry of the Attorney General has begun its move into the new facility and the first proceedings will take place this Spring.
Plenary Justice will apply for LEED® Silver certification of the facility in the coming months.
At the peak of construction, there were an estimated 320 construction workers on site daily.
