Plenary Health is pleased to welcome patients, staff, family, and friends of St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton to their stunning, new Margaret & Charles Juravinski Centre for Integrated Healthcare (West 5th Campus).
This redevelopment allowed Plenary Health to deliver a design that was more closely tied to both the community and the natural beauty of the site. The facility houses 305 mental health and addiction inpatient beds, mental health and medical outpatient clinics, clinical support, administrative and facility support functions, and education and research space.
“The facility was designed to support the extraordinary care that happens here at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton”, said Mike Marasco, CEO of Plenary Concessions. “We are pleased to have achieved on-time and on-budget completion of the construction phase, and we are excited to build on this great partnership over the next 30 years.”
Over the last three years, the project has created thousands of jobs for the Hamilton and the Greater Toronto Area. At the peak of construction, it is estimated that 650 workers were on site and active during the redevelopment. The project is also on track for a Silver certification for Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED®), an award that is recognized in over 132 countries for excellence in green building and development. St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton – West 5th Campus is under contract for 30 years and will be maintained by Plenary Health for its entire duration.
