Sam Hull, a Senior Associate in Plenary’s Los Angeles office, attended the University of California, Merced, as a guest lecturer in the undergraduate Engineering Economic Analysis class.

Sam was welcomed as an expert in public-private partnerships and delivered a presentation that focused on:

  • Explaining public-private partnerships,
  • Estimating project costs and revenues over time,
  • Calculating the present value of cash flows on a project, and
  • Using the UC Merced 2020 Project as a real-life example to demonstrate the complexity inherent in a long-term project with multiple variables.

“I’d like to thank UC Merced for the opportunity to address such an engaged group of students. We had productive discussions on careers in infrastructure development and how working in this field draws from a variety of backgrounds and skillsets. We also worked through some real-life examples to demonstrate how concepts and theory learned in the classroom are critical to success after graduation.

Occasions like today’s guest lecture underscore our commitment to the long-term partnership we have with the University, and our enthusiasm for the future of the campus and its students,” said Sam Hull, guest lecturer and Senior Associate with Plenary.

Congratulations to Sam on this exciting opportunity.
