Plenary has won Sponsor/Developer of the Year and its projects have been recognised for four awards across three separate global awards programs.
Plenary was crowned Sponsor/Developer of the Year for the third consecutive year at the 2025 Partnerships Awards in London, the biggest celebration of excellence in the public-private partnership (PPP) industry across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, the UK and Europe.
The judges praised Plenary’s strong financial management, sustainability and sector leadership, and recognised the funding and expertise Plenary dedicates to large, transformational projects as it champions tailored PPP approaches to deliver substantial local economic impact and high social values.
The Staffordshire University Student Village project – where Plenary is sponsor and investor –won Best Social Infrastructure Project, with the judges noting the project was a clear example of optimisation of public and private sector skills, technology and design.
Two other Plenary projects, Sydney Metro City and Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Event Centre, were highly commended in the Best Operational and Best Social Infrastructure categories respectively.
At the MENA edition of the 2024 IJGlobal Awards in Dubai, the Khalifa University Student Accommodation project – where Plenary is sponsor, investor, financial and commercial arranger, facilities manager and SPV manager – won Social Infrastructure Deal of the Year and Student Accommodation PPP Deal of the Year.
The awards honour the region’s outstanding companies, transactions and individuals in the energy and infrastructure sector during 2024.
In Australia, the Sydney Metro City project – where Plenary is sponsor, investor, financial arranger and commercial adviser – has been named Project of the Year at Infrastructure Partnerships Australia’s 2025 National Infrastructure Awards.
The awards recognise and celebrating excellence in project delivery and individual achievement across Australia’s infrastructure sector.
Judges recognised the scale, transformational nature, exceptional planning, stakeholder collaboration and technological innovation of the driverless metro service which opened to much fanfare in 2024.
Plenary CEO David Lamming congratulated all involved in these projects’ strong results across the three awards programs.
“This is a significant acknowledgement of our depth of capability in achieving great project outcomes all around the world, so well done to all of those whose efforts and achievements in working on these projects are reflected in these outcomes,” Mr Lamming said.
