CHRISTCHURCH, NEW ZEALAND – Infrastructure developer and investor Plenary Group has expanded its Asia Pacific footprint, opening its first office in New Zealand.

The Prime Minister of New Zealand Rt Hon Christopher Luxon joined Plenary CEO Paul Crowe, Chief Investment Officer Patrick Lauren and other senior executives at an event to mark the official opening.

The office opening follows Plenary being awarded its first project in New Zealand, the Christchurch Men’s Prison Redevelopment Project.

Plenary made the commitment to open a New Zealand office as part of a broader investment commitment made during the Government’s 2025 Infrastructure Investment Summit.

Prime Minister Luxon said, “This is a real vote of confidence in New Zealand. Having a global infrastructure giant like Plenary committing to New Zealand is great for our economy. I’m really pleased to open the Plenary office, and I look forward to the investment, jobs and opportunities for local businesses that will come from the projects they invest in and deliver.”

Mr Crowe said Plenary is committed to working in partnership with the New Zealand Government to invest significant capital in the projects needed to grow the economy and provide better services and facilities for the community.

“Plenary sees significant opportunity in the New Zealand market. We’re excited to be bringing our global expertise to more public-private partnership projects in New Zealand, building on our first success with the Christchurch Men’s Prison Redevelopment”.

Established in Australia in 2004, Plenary has steadily expanded to now include offices in New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, the UAE, the UK, Ireland, the US and Canada.
