Khalifa University Student Accommodation wins two accolades at IJGlobal Awards

DUBAI, UAE – The Khalifa University Student Accommodation project won two awards at the 2024 IJGlobal Awards: the MENA Social Infrastructure Deal of the Year and MENA PPP Deal of the Year – Student Accommodation.

The awards ceremony, held in Dubai this year, honoured the region’s outstanding companies, transactions and individuals in the infrastructure sector. Khalifa University President, His Excellency Prof. Ebrahim Al Hajri, was present to accept both awards alongside consortium and government partners.

Khalifa University Student Accommodation is set to be the largest student accommodation project in the GCC region. The project was awarded to the Plenary-led KUnnected Living consortium by the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) in collaboration with Khalifa University of Science and Technology (Khalifa University) in August 2024.

The development includes a 23-year concession to design, build, finance and maintain 3,260 student rooms and communal facilities located across Khalifa University’s Main Campus and its Sas Al Nakhl Campus.

The KUnnected Living consortium comprises Plenary Group as lead sponsor, financial and commercial arranger, 45% equity investor, facilities management provider, and SPV manager.
