AUSTRALIA and UAE – Plenary has partnered with the Bachar Houli Foundation Elite Performance Camp to support its work in engaging and educating Muslim youth.

The foundation is a leader in its field, engaging and developing young leaders in the Australian Muslim community through programs focusing on engagement, education, employment and talent development.

The camp brings together the best young Muslim talent and leaders across Australia to develop their leadership qualities and provide experiences to help them become role models for the wider community.

Foundation founder Bachar Houli said the camp focuses on improving participants’ personal development, leadership skills, identity and physical performance.

“For the last four years we’ve gone to the UAE, and it’s been an absolute standout with the opportunities to engage these young people away from home and it’s amazing the interaction you get,” Mr Houli said.

“We understand the challenges our young men and women face. Our programs are making a huge difference in our community and the partnership with Plenary will allow us to continue to grow.”

Plenary Chief Investment Officer Paul Crowe said Plenary was committed to creating a respectful environment that celebrates diversity and inclusion in everything it does.

“We’re extremely proud to be supporting the foundation, helping to develop the next generation of Muslim leaders in the community,” Mr Crowe said.

“We have strong history of supporting the communities in which we operate in, and as we look to expand our business into the Middle East, it’s important we grow these connections into the jurisdictions we aim to benefit through our public infrastructure projects.”

Mr Crowe said Plenary was also working with the UAE Consul General to Australia on ways of enhancing partnership between the UAE and Australia through investing in public infrastructure in the UAE.

The partnership follows Plenary’s previous support of Richmond’s Next Generation Academy program for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth.

Plenary is also a multi-year supporter of the Islamic Museum of Australia
