Gearóid joined the company in August 2023 and is responsible for leading Plenary’s corporate affairs function, which includes communications, government and stakeholder relations, and brand and reputation activities.

Before Plenary, Gearóid was based in Hong Kong for almost a decade where he held executive positions at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and HSBC Bank. Earlier in his career, Gearóid worked in government and politics, including in roles with the Australian Government, the US Department of State, the 2008 US Presidential Campaign, and the New York State Legislature.

Gearóid has a Masters Degree in Government (hons) and a Bachelors Degree in Government & Public Policy (hons) from University College Cork. He completed his postgraduate degree at Boston College, and was a Thomas M. Whalen Scholar at the College of Saint Rose, New York.
